Five-Year Contract Covers Up to 120 Bell 412 Shipsets on a Turnkey Basis

Global aerospace high-precision integrated solutions provider Hana Aero Dynamics has signed a long-term supply agreement with U.S. helicopter manufacturer Bell Textron covering up to 120 helicopter fuselage structures.

Hana Aero Dynamics announced on September 8 that it had signed a new five-year contract with Bell to supply Bell 412 fuselage structures from 2027 through 2031. Under the agreement, which covers up to 120 shipsets, Hana Aero Dynamics will manage the entire production process on a turnkey basis, from raw material procurement and component manufacturing to structural assembly and final delivery.

Recently, Chan-hwan Shon, CEO of Hana Aero Dynamics, met with Danny Maldonado, CEO of Bell Textron, at Bell's headquarters in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to establish a long-term partnership aimed at ensuring stable production and supply for the Bell 412 program.

Hana Aero Dynamics is currently the exclusive Tier-1 company in Korea directly exporting Bell 412 fuselage structural assemblies manufactured in Korea to Bell's production facilities. Since beginning direct exports in 2024, the company has delivered more than 40 Bell 412 fuselage structural assemblies to date.

The company expects the new contract to increase its annual revenue by more than 30% from 2027, compared with current levels. By continuing production and deliveries for the Bell 412 program over the next five years, Hana Aero Dynamics plans to further strengthen its position within the global rotorcraft supply chain.

Hana Aero Dynamics has integrated manufacturing capabilities for rotorcraft, covering raw material procurement, component manufacturing, and structural assembly based on a Build-to-Print (BTP) manufacturing model. The company also conducts the design and reverse engineering of production tooling, structural analysis, precision machining, manufacturing, and maintenance in-house.

The new agreement will also serve as an opportunity for Hana Aero Dynamics to expand cooperation with global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The company plans to gradually strengthen its aerospace sheet metal and composite manufacturing capabilities through investments in new production sites and manufacturing facilities.

Meanwhile, Hana Aero Dynamics received approval from the Korea Exchange (KRX) earlier this month for its preliminary review for a KOSDAQ listing and has officially entered the initial public offering (IPO) process.
